1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Frog Identifier, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Frog Identifier provides AI-powered frog species identification. Our service uses advanced artificial intelligence to analyze photos of frogs and provide detailed species information, habitat data, conservation status, and more.

3. AI Limitations

Our AI identification system provides best-effort results and should not be considered definitive scientific identification. Do not rely solely on our identification for safety decisions, especially regarding toxicity. Always consult professional herpetologists for critical identifications.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of photos you upload. By making identifications public, you grant us permission to display them in the community gallery. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content. The full license you grant us is described in the section titled “License Grant to Frog Identifier” below.

5. License Grant to Frog Identifier

By using Frog Identifier and its related apps, websites, and services (the “Services”), you grant to Frog Identifier, its successors, and assigns a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and/or distribute any content you submit, create, or make available through the Services — including without limitation the photos and images you upload for identification; the notes, descriptions, locations, and other text you provide with them; the identifications, descriptions, estimates, and any other output produced by the Services at your direction; any collections, lists, or albums you assemble, including their names and the selection and arrangement of the items they contain; and your profile information, including your username, display name, profile picture, bio, and any links you add — regardless of whether an identification’s or collection’s visibility is public or private. This includes the right to display your uploaded photos and identifications on the community feed, on encyclopedia, species, tag, and search pages, on the websites and apps of Frog Identifier and its affiliates, and in marketing for the Services. For clarity, changing an identification’s or a collection’s visibility from public to private does not revoke or limit the license granted under this section with respect to that identification, that collection, or any content associated with it. The license granted to Frog Identifier remains in effect even after termination of this Agreement by any party, for any reason.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload inappropriate or offensive content
• Attempt to abuse or overload the service
• Use the service for any illegal purposes
• Misrepresent AI identification results

7. Credits and Usage

Identification services may require credits. Credit balances and usage limits are subject to change. Free credits may be offered for new users or promotional periods.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service or reliance on identification results.

9. Disclaimer Agreement

By using Frog Identifier, you also agree to the terms outlined in our AI Identification Disclaimer. The Disclaimer includes important information about the limitations of our AI-powered identifications and of every other piece of information presented on Frog Identifier — including the encyclopedia, reference pages, guides, articles, and community submissions — all of which may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information and must not be relied on as expert, safety, medical, legal, or financial advice. The Disclaimer is an integral part of these Terms, and your use of Frog Identifier is subject to your acceptance of both.

10. Encyclopedia and Reference Content

Frog Identifier may include an encyclopedia, reference pages, guides, articles, and other informational content (“Reference Content”). Reference Content is compiled and generated with the help of automated tools and AI models and is provided for general informational purposes only. It may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information, and it has not been reviewed by qualified experts. We make no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Reference Content or of any other information presented on Frog Identifier, and you agree not to rely on it as a substitute for professional advice or for any decision that could affect your health, safety, property, legal rights, or finances. Images shown with Reference Content may be illustrative rather than exact matches. If you believe something is wrong, please let us know through the app or the contact details in our Terms of Service and we will review it.
